AMMAN — Representative of the Food and Catering Industries Sectors at the Jordan Chamber of Industry Mohammad Al-Jitan expects the food prices to fluctuate for a year or more except for bread, according to Alghad news.

Jitan told Al-Mamlaka TV, “There is no material that its price will remain stable from now up to a year or more, except for bread, because there is enough wheat stock.” He added, “Bread is already priced and the prices of its raw materials will not increase.”
He talked about a “difficult” situation regarding the rise in the prices of raw materials and foodstuffs globally, but in Jordan, prices were stable for a period due to the availability of some stocks. In the coming days, there may be price increases as a result of increases in global markets after 3 or 4 months.
