Amman - The Directorate of Operations and Consular Affairs declared that 68 burial permits, at the request of their families, have been granted to Jordanian pilgrims to be buried in Mecca.

The concerned Saudi authorities have begun the procedures for burying pilgrims who died, according to Ambassador Sufian Qudah, Head of the Directorate of Operations and Consular Affairs.
Out of the 107 Jordanian pilgrims listed in the lists of missing pilgrims, he continued, 91 have been located, according to a database created by the Directorate since the start of reporting the deaths and injuries of several Jordanian pilgrims. Of these, 22 are in Saudi hospitals recovering from various illnesses, including seven critically ill individuals.
Arrangements are being made to transfer these pilgrims for treatment in the Kingdom as soon as their health permits. The team from the Jordanian Consulate General in Jeddah, which is currently in Mecca, visited all patients today to evaluate their condition.
Ambassador Qudah also said that search operations are still underway for 16 missing Jordanian pilgrims, with joint efforts from the cell formed by the ministry, which works around the clock in coordination with the Jordanian Consulate General in Jeddah, the Jordanian embassy in Riyadh, the Jordanian Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and with the competent Saudi authorities.
Ambassador Qudah expressed his sincere feelings of condolences and sympathy to the families of the pilgrims, may God have mercy on them.
The competent Saudi authorities' efforts to find missing persons, treat Jordanian pilgrims medically, and support the Jordanian Consulate General team in Mecca in performing its duties to the best of its abilities were also acknowledged and thanked by Ambassador Qudah.
Qudah renewed his call to all Jordanian citizens performing Hajj and their families to contact the Jordanian Consulate General team in Mecca to request assistance, report missing persons, or arrange for the transfer of bodies in cases of death around the clock, through the following numbers:
