AMMAN — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday condemned the ongoing calls of extremists to intensify the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif compound.اضافة اعلان

In a statement, Ministry Spokesperson Haitham Abu Al Foul warned against allowing the extremists to carry out provocative acts that violate the sanctity of the holy site, which is a place of worship for Muslims only.

The spokesperson also called on respecting the legal and historical status quo of Jerusalem, and to stop all measures that impede the ability of worshipers to reach Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.

Meanwhile, Hamas movement in Gaza on Wednesday threatened Israel over plans by Jewish activists to conduct ritual sacrifices inside Al-Aqsa compound, or what Jews call the Temple Mount, saying they would not allow it “at any cost.”

The Returning to the Mount extremist group, which advocates the construction of a third Jewish temple on the site, announced on Facebook Monday that it would be offering a cash prize to those who manage to sacrifice a lamb on the “Temple Mount”, and to anyone arrested trying to do so.
