Foreign Ministry following up on issue of military retirees in Qatar-Spokesperson

AMMAN — Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates is following up on the issue of Jordanian military retirees, who were hired for a limited period to provide security and protection services related to FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 arrangements in Qatar, according to individual contracts with a private company, in a bid to extend all possible assistance, its official spokesperson, Sinan Majali, said, according to Jordan News Agency, Petra.  اضافة اعلان

In a statement on Thursday, Majali indicated that the ministry "highly" values Qatar's "full" cooperation in dealing with the issue that represents a dispute between the citizens and the private sector company, which signed the contracts, and tries to find the truth and solve the matter, in terms of the company's adherence with the contractual terms or not.

The official spokesman noted Qatar's organization of the FIFA World Cup is an achievement for all Arabs, adding that Jordan is keen on the success of this tournament, for which Qatar has prepared with "utmost excellence and professionalism."

Expressing pride in the military retirees, he noted the ministry will provide all the necessary support for retirees participating in the duty to ensure the company’s commitment to meet their legal rights, in accordance with the available legal frameworks and trust their awareness.

The ministry, he noted, will deal with the issue according to the law and in a manner that reflects the retirees' respect for the laws in Qatar, and their keenness on success of this "great" event and "distinguished" achievement in Qatar.
