According to Al-Mamlaka TV, Baqour stated that since the
case of MP Adwan is related to exporting weapons, it falls under the
jurisdiction of the State Security Court.
Jordan to conduct own investigationBaqour also pointed out that the Israeli authorities had
investigated Adwan before handing him over, but Jordan will conduct its own
investigation based on the details of the case.
Several people involved in the case have already been
arrested, and some are currently in jail.
Despite the charges, Baqour confirmed that Adwan's
membership in parliament is still valid.
However, he is not immune until a decision is made in the
case. If no verdict is issued against Adwan, he will remain an MP.
However, if he is convicted, the charges against him will be
dropped automatically.
