AMMAN —
Four COVID-19 deaths and 4,763 cases were recorded during the week of July
16–22, marking a 94 percent increase in cases compared to the week before,
according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

A 138 percent increase
in test was recorded, with 40,380 PCR tests conducted last week, compared with
16,948 from the week prior. The positivity rater stands at 11.5 percent,
compared with 14.5 percent a week earlier, according to the media statement
issued by the Ministry of Health.
There are currently
3,896 active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom, compared with 2,231 a week earlier,
with a 74 percent increase.
The ministry added that
the number of COVID-19 patients still receiving treatment at hospitals
countrywide has reached 52, compared with 27 a week earlier.
