AMMAN — Fahad Al-Fayez, President of the

recent reduction in
fuel prices, stating that the increase was very minimal
compared to the global decline, specifically citing both 90 and 95 octane.

Fayez highlighted that reduction percentage was less than
1.5 percent in the Kingdom, while in contrast,
fuel prices globally experience
a decrease of 2 percent, Jo24 reported. He also mentioned that diesel prices
have dropped 5 percent globally.
He called on the government to reconsider the
fixed tax imposed on 90 octane, which amounts to 37.5 piasters and the most common type
of fuel consumed in the Kingdom. He added that adjusting the tax would enable
citizens to truly feel the decrease in prices.
