AMMAN —
The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) said it withdrew crews and heavy lifting
machinery and equipment from the site of a residential building in Jabal
Luweibdeh neighborhood which collapsed last week, according to the Jordan News
Agency, Petra.
Spokesperson
Nasser Al-Rahamneh told Petra that GAM, under the supervision of the Public
Security Directorate, called off the lifting of rubble and debris from the
site, having completed its mission.
He said some 3,000 cubic
meters of rubble was lifted from the site, adding that municipal crews had been
prompt in their response and deployed heavy machinery immediately after the
incident last week.
