GAM publishes emergency numbers

AMMAN — The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) has published emergency numbers for those requesting assistance during the cold front. These numbers are: 065359970, 065359971, and 0798166789. Earlier, the municipality announced the maximum state of emergency to deal with the current weather conditions. The municipality called on citizens to remove moving objects from the roofs of buildings, stay away from low areas, and not to connect house gutters to sewage networks to avoid flooding the roads. In addition, the municipality called on citizens to inspect submersible pumps in buildings and shops below street level, and to take precautions when storing goods in warehouses and basements. It also called on contractors and construction project owners to secure building materials to avoid their drift, which could lead to the closure of the water drainage lines.
