AMMAN — The
Greater Amman Municipality (GAM)
has decided to resume work on the Jordan Gate Towers project, near the 6th Circle, by entering as a partner and acquiring 31 percent of the capital of the
company that owns the project, according to Amman Mayor Youssef Al-Shawarbeh as
reported by Al-Mamlaka TV on Tuesday.

He said that the decision comes within the framework
of the government's commitment to strengthen the national economy and work to
make existing investments succeed and complete faltering ones.
The mayor added that the value the share in the
project will be fully and exclusively paid for the purpose of resuming the necessary
construction work to ensure the completion of the project.
He added that the
Jordan Gate Towers project, which is
located at the entrance to the capital Amman, must not be left unfinished and
must be completed within a specific and clear period of time, indicating that the
GAM has begun reviewing the plans and preparing the site to start work during
the next few weeks.
Shawarbeh indicated that the first phase of the
project, which includes the residential North Tower and the commercial complex,
would be completed within 18 months, and the project would not stop until its
completion.
