AMMAN — The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM)said it
was studying a proposal to revoke the ability for people to object to the cost
of a traffic ticket, Jo24 reported.
GAM clarified that this is not a proposal to stop people
from objecting to the ticket itself, as that would require an amendment to the
Traffic Act.
Director of GAM’s Media Department, Nasser Rahamneh stated
that the proposal was merely to overturn the objection to the value of the ticket.
Rahamneh added that the proposal is not set in stone, emphasizing
that it will be up to the judge to cancel a ticket.
