In a press statement, Al-Qawasmi proposed reducing curfew
hours during the second half of Ramadan, with business hours starting at 9pm,
until 1am. According to Al-Qawasmeh, this would contribute to reducing the
crowdedness at markets.
The representative noted that the sector is living in “total
darkness”, due to the uncertainty regarding economic sectors’ return to
business as usual.
According to Al-Qawasmi, the imports of the garment sector
in preparation for Eid Al-Fitr season reached some JD75 million.
