Gold near all-time high

Amman - Gold prices hovered near all-time highs Tuesday amid expectations in the United States that the Federal Reserve will launch a monetary easing cycle, starting with a significant interest rate cut.اضافة اعلان

Gold settled in spot transactions at $2,581.68 an ounce after recording its highest ever price of $2,589.59 Monday, according to Bloomberg Economics.
US gold futures settled at $2,608.6.

Other precious metals also surged as silver rose 0.1 percent to $30.79 an ounce, platinum 0.6 percent to $986.9, and palladium 1.0 percent to $1,087.09 after earlier in the session recording its highest level since April 11.
