Goods to be exempted from fines for the storage period

AMMAN— Head of Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI) and Amman Chamber of Industry, Fathi Jaghbir, said that goods will be exempted from fines on the storage period in light of the current circumstances which prevent importers from moving the goods from the Aqaba port, according to Khaberni News.اضافة اعلان
 
Jaghbir added the decision will be implemented until the end of the strikes, while importers will be given enough time to clear the goods from warehouses until the situation goes back to normal. 

 Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority Chief of Commissioners Nayef Bakhit, upon approval of the Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh, sent a letter to the Aqaba Container Terminal Company to exempt goods from fines for the storage period resulting from the inability of importers to remove them from the port due to the current circumstances until the end of the strike and until the situation is back to normal.
