AMMAN — The government’s total revenues, in Q1 2021, stood at approximately JD1.85 billion denoting a 17.8 percent growth compared to the same time last year. In a statement on Wednesday, the Ministry of Finance said that public expenditure in the first quarter of this year increased by around JD107.4 million, a 5.3 percent increase from the same period of 2020. According to the ministry, fiscal deficit in Q1 this year dropped by an estimated JD173 million from Q1 last year, reaching JD274 million.
