AMMAN — Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh
declared December, and January 1, 2023, official holidays marking Christmas and
New Year, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

In a communiqué issued on Sunday, the prime minister
said that all ministries, public institutions, departments and bodies, public
universities, municipalities, joint services councils, the Greater Amman
Municipality, and companies that are wholly owned by the government will be off
for the holidays. Exception make ministries and public institutions whose
nature of work requires their employees’ presence.
According to the premier, December 26 will be an
official holiday for Christian employees and students.
