AMMAN — Prime Minister
Bisher Khasawneh congratulated His Majesty
King Abdullah on his 60th birthday during
Sunday’s Cabinet meeting, saying: "We derive determination, enthusiasm and
persistence from His Majesty King Abdullah II, who embodies the model we follow
in work and achievement, serving the country and citizens, and moving with
steady steps toward the future," according to Jordan News Agency, Petra.

"We always seek to achieve His
Majesty's ambitions for to a better future for our citizens, and to overcome the
challenges that the country has been facing over the past 10 years due to
multiple factors, primarily regional, and whose consequences Jordan had to bear,"
Khasawneh added.
The premier expressed hope that
Jordan will recover and witness a better future in the second century of its
existence.
Khasawneh also said the government
will work relentlessly to implement the Royal directives by reaching out to key
sectors, such as tourism, agriculture and transport, and by bolstering the
comparative advantage in other sectors, such as health, medical tourism and
digitalization, the last to keep abreast of the era of digital economy.
He added that the government will
immediately begin implementing His Majesty's directives with regard to modernizing
administration and improving its efficiency, enabling and stimulating local
investment, attracting foreign investment, and prioritizing addressing the
issue of unemployment through real partnerships with the vital and productive private
sectors.
Khasawneh stressed that the
government will not hesitate to take bold, correct, prompt and firm
administrative decisions to improve government procedures and provide the best
services to citizens.
The prime minister said the
government is totally committed to following the Royal directive to organize a
national workshop that brings together economic experts and government
institutions to devise a comprehensive vision and a roadmap for the coming
years, adding that it will exert utmost effort to meet the aspirations and
visions of His Majesty the King.
