Speaking during a Lower House session on Wednesday, Shamali
said JD78.2 million of that total came from the SSC, Ammon News reported.
The program covered a portion of workers’ wages in
businesses and organizations that were unable to operate due to the COVID-19
pandemic, with the key goal of preserving the Jordanian labor force in
the private sector through the government-backed SSC.
According to the minister, the program supported 108,091
beneficiaries working at 6,787 establishments.
