In
response to a gathering of citizens for a peaceful sit-in near its premises,
the Ministry expressed appreciation and respect for this peaceful expression of
opinion, acknowledging the challenges faced by every Jordanian in the current
circumstances, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.
Addressing
a prevalent misconception, the ministry explained that its role involves
developing export routes and mechanisms without directly granting export
licenses. It further clarified that
exports to Europe undergo a transit
process, passing through the port of Haifa, due to the closures of the northern
and eastern borders.
The
Ministry pointed out that there is a small number of independent traders
working under private contracts, not affiliated with any Ministry business
incubator.
It
reaffirmed its alignment with the official Jordanian position led by
His Majesty King Abdullah, supporting the rights of the Palestinian people and
vehemently opposing the brutal and inhumane campaign.
Highlighting
its ongoing efforts, the Ministry mentioned the establishment of the
Jordanian-Palestinian company aimed at marketing agricultural products. This
initiative aims to support the resilience of Palestinian farmers and promote
the export of Palestinian products from the
West Bank and
Gaza to international
markets.
