Gov’t may allow vaccination without registration — minister

AMMAN — Interior Minister Mazen Faraya on Monday said that poor turnout on the Health Ministry’s vaccine platform may trigger a government decision to allow registration-free vaccination.اضافة اعلان

In remarks to Al-Ghad, Faraya said such a decision would only apply to the age groups permitted to receive the vaccine.

According to the minister the government has started expediting efforts to immunize the largest number of people possible in a precautionary step against a potential third wave.

Member of the Health Ministry’s epidemiological committee, Bassam Hijjawi said most recent figures reveals that 87 percent of new coronavirus are of the Delta Variant.
