‘Gov’t serious about modernizing, simplifying procedures’

AMMAN — Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communication Faisal Al-Shboul said on Tuesday the government is serious about modernizing and developing, and that several steps have been taken in this regard, including establishing a Public Sector Modernization Committee, chaired by Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh and having, as members, ministers and experts from the private and public sectors, according to Jafra News.اضافة اعلان

Shboul added that the committee set itself a time limit of six months, in view of the importance of the issue and the government’s seriousness in addressing the gaps, to come up with recommendations.

He said that the committee’s recommendations will be considered seriously in order to increase the government efficiency, which will reflect positively on the government performance and facilitate procedures for the citizens and the private sector.

Khasawneh said that modernizing the public sector is a main part of the economic reform and modernizing the political system. He also said that the committee will work within a realistic timeframe, set at six months, and at the end of its work, it will present a comprehensive plan to modernize the public administration and to simplify and improve procedures.
