The implementation of this authority is anticipated to receive approval in the coming months, with operations set to commence at the start of the next year, a local media outlet, reported.

Approval and reforms
At a gathering held at Al-Husseiniya Palace, His Majesty King Abdullah, Crown Prince Hussein, Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh, and relevant officials came together to discuss the establishment of the authority.

During the meeting, it was highlighted that the formation of the authority would necessitate an amendment to the current Civil Service Bureau system.

The objective of this amendment is to safeguard acquired rights while introducing changes to the performance evaluation, promotion, and incentives system. Furthermore, a new human resources management system will be introduced, specifically targeting new appointees.

Focus on inventory and training
Shraideh presented an overview of the current status of the Civil Service Bureau's inventory, along with proposals for inventory management during the transitional phase.

Additionally, he emphasized the future vision for the Institute of Public Administration, which aims to enhance its role and uplift the capabilities of public sector employees. The expansion of qualitative training programs was also discussed as part of this vision.

Shraideh outlined the human resources strategy, which seeks to centralize the planning of human resources policies while decentralizing their implementation. The strategy also prioritizes leadership and executive departments within the civil service.

Approved by the Civil Service Council and awaiting endorsement from the Council of Ministers, this strategy will rely on functional competencies as the foundation for managing the human resources system.

Furthermore, it aims to enhance digital transformation efforts to create an institutional culture that promotes excellence, innovation, and citizen service.
