According to a statement by Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on Thursday, all admission exceptions for foreign students admitted into higher education institutions will be revoked as of the beginning of the next academic year 2024-2025.
Based on this new decision, the ministry said the overseas students' admission for the next academic year will not provide any exceptions in the enrollment process in any specialty, program, or university degree.
The ministry added that the admission policies in effect for Jordanian students will be equally applied to international peers, in terms of conditions, primarily the minimum high school score required to join various specializations and any other related items.
Additionally, the ministry said the move aims to preserve reputation of the Jordanian higher education sector and quality of its outcomes by improving inputs, in accordance with international standards and feedback from various relevant partners.
