In the second field tour in Al-Koura district, Irbid governorate, Minister of Government Communications Muhannad Mubaideen along with media outlets representatives viewed several tourist, healthcare, and service locations as well as development projects in Al-Koura that showcase the accomplishments made during the reign of His Majesty King Abdullah II.
In remarks made during the field trip, Mubaideen said that this is the second part of the "Tafaseel" program, which is the cornerstone of the Ministry of Government Communications' work and falls under the general policy for media and government communication that the Ministry has prepared. He went on to explain that the program's goal is to communicate with the governorates and regions that are remote from the center and to shed light on the most notable initiatives, accomplishments, and difficulties that the remote districts has faced over the past 25 years in the context of His Majesty King Abdullah II's Silver Jubilee.
The tour's objectives, he continued, are to promote the district's tourism, religious, and archaeological sites both locally and internationally, as well as to highlight the district's accomplishments and pay attention to the difficulties that the locals there face.
Mubaideen emphasized the value of empowering and assisting the district's local populations, as this helps them market their handicrafts, popular meals, and rural agricultural products. It also helps them coordinate with associations and support their product promotion.
He emphasized the significance of the media visiting the peripheries and areas remote from Amman, Jordan, to provide light on them and to communicate the concerns and viewpoints of the local populations.
According to Mubaideen, one of the media's objectives is to support communities; the more a citizen's voice is heard and the closer the media is to the citizen, the more honest it is and the more the country benefits.
