Glasgow — Environment Minister Muawieh Radaideh, on Thursday, met with Chairman of Fortescue Future Industries (FFI) Andrew Forrest on the sidelines of the 26th UN
Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in
Glasgow.

The meeting came to announce the beginning of conducting studies related to green hydrogen and nitrogen production in the Kingdom by utilizing solar and wind energy.
Radaideh stressed the importance of such a project, which provides an opportunity for the Kingdom to become a leading country in the green energy sector, since the great capabilities in Jordan pertaining to solar and wind energy.
Forrest highlighted the importance of a partnership, in this domain, with Jordan as a step towards reducing emissions and creating job opportunities.
He added that the only way to stop global warming is through practical and applicable solutions, noting that the partnership will play a key role in taking advantage of the great potential in the renewable energy sector the Kingdom has.
