AMMAN —
Governor Firas Abu Qaoud of Balqa recently undertook
a visit to the Industrial City of Salt, reaffirming the governorate's
dedication to supporting the city's development and addressing existing
challenges. The governor's visit, accompanied by key officials, focused on
exploring the current investment landscape and emphasizing the need for
coordination among various official and civil entities.

During the visit, Governor Abu Qaoud, accompanied by Council
President Ibrahim Al-Awamleh,
Mayor Mohammed Al-Hayari, Engineer Amer
Al-Dabbas, Director of Balqa Works, and a group of local investors, thoroughly
assessed the progress of ongoing projects while engaging in discussions on
strategies to ensure the success of investment endeavors, Alsaa.Net reported.
The significance of the visit was underscored by a statement
released on Wednesday by the
Industrial Cities Company, wherein Governor Abu
Qaoud called for an inclusive meeting involving all relevant stakeholders. The
purpose of this meeting will be to address the issues that hinder the
investment process within the city.
More employment opportunities
Meanwhile, the Director of the Industrial City of Salt,
Mahmoud Tamlih, revealed that the city has successfully attracted 30 industrial
investments valued at JD31 million. As the city progresses into its operational
stages, it is estimated to create around 750 employment opportunities across
various industries.
During the visit, Governor Abu Qaoud and the accompanying
officials had the opportunity to inspect a new project involving the
establishment of industrial buildings, spanning an expansive area of 10,000
square meters. Additionally, they visited the city's purification plant project
and toured several production lines operated by industrial companies within the
city.
