The Council said in a statement that the launch took place during its annual meeting with SNJ members and partners, coinciding with World Population Day this month.
HPC Secretary-General Issa Masarweh highlighted key demographic aspects of Jordan, including population size, growth, composition, distribution, nationality, reproductive rates and the number of refugees.
He also addressed trends in marriage, divorce, and reproductive regulation within Jordanian society, emphasizing the significant long-term impact of demographic changes on various sectors and population needs.
Ali Al-Mutlaq, Director of the Council’s Studies and Policy Unit and SNJ Coordinator, detailed Share Net's achievements and the outcomes of a regional conference held in April. The conference focused on integrating sexual and reproductive health concepts into school curricula and involved educational experts from Jordan, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, and Lebanon, as well as representatives from relevant national authorities.
He added that the conference provided funding grants to Egypt, Lebanon and Jordan to conduct studies related to its themes.
