AMMAN — The Higher Population Council (HPC), in cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), on Thursday organized a scientific dialogue to discuss two fact papers related to the reproductive health of Jordanian families and the elderly, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The event saw the participation of Jordan's concerned authorities as part of activities to celebrate World Population Day (WPD), according to a HPC statement.
The first paper dealt with media's role in raising awareness about reproductive health issues for Jordanian families and mechanisms aimed to activate advocacy on related issues to provide a number of recommendations in this regard.
Meanwhile, the second paper focused on the elderly reproductive health in Jordan from a holistic health perspective aimed to shed light on the elderly needs, cure related diseases, provide better medical services, and address anti-elderly domestic violence as a vulnerable group, the statement added.
