AMMAN — Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Ahmed Hanandeh voiced the government’s keenness to boost entrepreneurship in the Kingdom through implementation of subjects aimed at creating a friendly and stimulating environment that enhances the Kingdom’s ability to compete at the regional and international levels in this key field, according to Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The minister made his remarks during his visit to the University of Jordan, Al-Aqaba branch, where he met with its president Dr. Amer Salman, in the presence of Ambassador of the European Union (EU) Maria Hadjitheodosiou and Orange Jordan CEO Thierry Marigny.
The minister noted the importance of the $200 million project aiming at supporting the growth of digital companies and self-employment platforms in Jordan, helping them succeed and opening new job opportunities for youth within the National Strategy for Digital Transformation (2021-2025).
Hanandeh was briefed by Salman on the university’s academic conditions, its future plans for the development qualitative educational programs to serve the community, and the stages it has gone through since its inception.
