AMMAN —
Former minister Hazem Nuseibeh passed away on April 10, according to Khaberni.
Nuseibeh, a
Jordanian politician born on May 6, 1922, in Jerusalem, held several positions:
as a minister of foreign affairs, ambassador to Egypt, Jordan’s permanent
representative to the
UN, and member of the Senate. He is considered one of the
most important theorists of Arab nationalism.

Nuseibeh received
his secondary education at Victoria College in Egypt between 1936 and 1940, did
his university studies at the American University of
Beirut, from which he
obtained a BA in political science in 1943, then returned to Jerusalem to study
law between 1943 and 1948, and obtained a doctorate in political philosophy
from
Princeton University, US, in 1954.
