Hawari also continued to stress the importance of intensive vaccination campaigns countrywide.

Four types of COVID-19 vaccines are available for Jordanians and residents alike, said Hawari.

Jordanians have received some 6 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines, Hawari added, stressing that vaccination is the best and only way to protect the Kingdom and curb the virus’ spread.

Hawari said that the full return to in-class education in public and private schools is one of the ministry’s strategic goals to reach a “safe summer”, adding that the ministry has put a plan in place to achieve this goal in collaboration with all stakeholders.

He indicated that 85 percent of school educational staff have received two COVID-19 doses, noting that well trained teams affiliated to the ministry will conduct random PCR tests in schools to get insights about the epidemiological situation there.
