AMMAN — The
Ministry of Health on Tuesday began to
administer the Bivalent
Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine at the ministry's
vaccination centers across the Kingdom, the Jordan News Agency, Petra,
reported.

The vaccine is administered as a booster dose to people who
previously jabbed twice with any COVID-19 vaccines.
100,000 dosesIn a press statement, Secretary-General of the
Ministry of Health for Primary Health Care and Epidemiology, Raed Al-Shboul, announced that 100,000 doses of the Bivalent vaccine
have been delivered to Jordan.
People who wish to take the booster dose can go to vaccination centers across the Kingdom, with locations provided via the ministry's social media accounts.
The ministry, he noted,
received the vaccine shipment as a donation from the French government to contribute to the national campaign to
vaccinate against COVID-19. The vaccination rate has reached about 75 percent
of the target group in the Kingdom.
‘High priority’Recently, Shboul noted, the
World Health Organization recommended administering the booster dose as a "high priority” for the
elderly and younger people who suffer from chronic diseases, the
immunocompromised, and health personnel working on the front lines.

booster dose can go to vaccination centers across the Kingdom, with locations provided via the
ministry's social media accounts.
