AMMAN — Minister of Health Feras Al-Hawari on
Thursday announced the restructuring of the national epidemiological committee,
which now comprises 15 members compared to the previous 28.
“We restructured the epidemiological committee three days
ago. It was constituted of 28 members and we have addressed all the members who
have left with thank you letters. There are no disputes, they are scientific experts
and their opinions are respected,” Hawari said, noting that the committee now
has 15 members.
The minister also said that Jordanians are due to hear “good
news” next week regarding the Health Ministry’s efforts to combat COVID-19.
