AMMAN — The
Minister of Health, Firas Hawari, discussed on Tuesday with the Libyan
Ambassador, Abd al-Basit al-Badri, means of strengthening bilateral relations,
particularly in healthcare, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

During the meeting, Hawari stressed the
importance of boosting ties between the Jordanian and Libyan ministries of
health, exchanging expertise, supporting medical residency, training and
continued medical education programs between Jordanian and Libyan doctors. He
also underlined the importance of holding scientific meetings and medical
conferences at the regional and international levels.
The meeting also discussed medical care
provided to Libyan patients in the Kingdom.
Hawari and al-Badri also tackled a potential revision of
the health care costs for Libyan patients at Jordanian hospitals that are
contracted by the Libyan Health Office, as well as the possibility of
facilitating visa procedures for the entry of Libyan patients.
