AMMAN— The heat wave that affected the Kingdom for the
seventh day in a row, will continue, pushing temperature 6 to 7 degrees Celsius
above their seasonal average for this time of the year, the Jordan
Meteorological Department (JMD) said on Friday, according to the Jordan News
Agency, Petra.

The JMD warned of direct sunlight exposure, not to leave
flammable materials inside vehicles and low horizontal visibility due to dust
in the Badia regions.
Over the next 48 hours, similar weather conditions will
prevail across the country, with northwesterly moderate winds, the JMD said.
The prevailing heat wave is forecast to taper off starting
Monday, with a slight drop in temperatures as relatively hot conditions are
expected in hilly areas and plains, while hot conditions prevail in the Dead
Sea, the Jordan Valley and the port city of Aqaba, the JMD added.
Temperatures in the capital Amman will range between a high
of 37 degrees Celsius and a low of 22 degrees.
Highs in in the port city of Aqaba will hike up to 40
degrees during the day, sliding to 29 degrees at night.
