AMMAN — Jordan is forecast to see an increase in
temperatures over the next couple of days, the Jordan Meteorological Department
(JMD) said on Saturday.

A heat wave will affect the Kingdom, sending temperatures peaking
on Monday, with weather exceeding 35°C.
In its report, the JMD warned the public of direct exposure to the
sun during noontime hours, when temperatures are expected to exceed their
seasonal average and reach 4 to 5°C above average by Tuesday.
In Amman and other mountainous areas, temperatures are expected to
reach a high of 35°C and a low of 25°C on Sunday.
As a warm air mass settles over the Kingdom, temperatures on Monday
will see highs of 36°C and lows of 26°C, increasing on Tuesday to between 37°C
during the day and 27°C at night.
Extremely hot weather is expected in Aqaba, with temperatures
ranging between 42°C and 31°C on Sunday, between 43°C and 32°C on Monday, and
between 44°C and 33°C on Tuesday, the JMD said.
