AMMAN — A heat wave is forecast to hit the
Kingdom on Sunday that will raise temperatures by 3–4°C above their national
average, according to the
Jordan Meteorological Department. It is expected to
last until the end of the month, Ad-Dustour daily reported.

Department head Raed Al-Khattab said that temperatures
in Amman have hovered around 31–32°C, close to the annual average, but he
expects the next few days to bring temperatures in Amman to around 36°C.
Hot weather will prevail across the Kingdom in
general, Khattab said, adding that very hot weather can be expected in the
Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
