AMMAN —
The weeklong heat wave that hit Jordan and the region recently is expected to
gradually taper off starting Sunday, when a slight drop in temperatures will be
recorded.

Temperatures will
still remain higher than their seasonal average by about 4 to 5 degrees Celsius.
The weather will
be relatively hot in mountainous areas and blistering in the rest of the
regions, according to the
Jordan Meteorological Department.
As for Monday, the hot
spell will start to subside across the Kingdom, with another slight drop in
temperatures being forecast.
