— On Sunday, Heba Zakarneh from the Architectural Engineering Department at the
Faculty of Engineering at the University of Jordan was selected among the top
20 international projects in the final round of the Tamayoz Excellence Award
for international graduation projects in architecture.

Her
project, titled "Urban Stitches," emerged as one of the top 100
finalists out of 422 teams and individuals representing 141 universities from
36 countries, Khaberni reported.
The
selection of qualified projects is based on the award's evaluation criteria,
emphasizing ambitious and transformative projects that address local and global
challenges through a comprehensive understanding of the context.
The
award aims to recognize excellence in architectural design and education
worldwide, showcasing outstanding architectural examples to encourage and
stimulate debates on architectural designs and opinions.
It
is noteworthy that "Tamayoz" is an international architecture award
established in 2012, comprising 8 awards, with 6 of them honoring individuals,
student projects, and institutions.
