AMMAN — The Public Security Directorate’s
(PSD) highway patrol stressed the need for caution while driving during the
unstable weather conditions forecast for the next few days, according to Ammon
News.
The highway patrol said in a Facebook post that the
Desert Road, especially in the eastern regions and between Swaqa and Al-Hasa,
in Wadi Araba, may experience strong dust-blowing winds over the next few days,
with some areas experiencing low visibility.
Drivers could call the patrol’s toll-free numbers or
the standard emergency number 911 to inquire about road conditions, the patrol
said.
The PSD called on people driving on the Desert Road
and roads in the southern and eastern regions of the Kingdom to exercise
caution, reiterating the danger of heavy dust hampering visibility.
