On Tuesday meteorologists foresee a slight relief from the sweltering heat as the impact of the hot air mass begins to subside. This will result in a slight dip in temperatures, rendering the weather relatively warm over high mountainous areas and hot in other regions, the Jordan News Agency, Petra reported.
However, temperatures are expected to rise once again on Wednesday, with hot conditions returning over mountainous areas and plains. The Jordan Valley, the
Dead Sea, and Aqaba are likely to witness extremely high temperatures during this period.
Today’s peak temperature will be between 37 and 35 degrees Celsius in Amman and various highlands throughout the Kingdom, with lows of 24 or even 22 degrees in the southern highlands at night. The Gulf city of Aqaba will have scorching weather, with highs of 43C and lows of 28C.
Meanwhile, JMD highlighted that on Saturday, July 15, the highest temperature in the Kingdom recording during the heatwave reached to 43.6 degrees Celsius in Aqaba, Hala News reported.
