AMMAN — Hot and humid weather is expected on Saturday as
clouds cover the skies in the Northern and central areas of the Kingdom, said
the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) in its daily weather update.

The JMD stated that a decrease in cloud coverage is
predicted as temperatures warm up in the highlands and plains while scorching
weather builds up in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba.
Mercury levels for today are expected to hover between 30°C and
20°C in Amman, 27°C -15°C in the northern areas and 40°C -15°C in the southern
parts. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs jumping
to 39°C, sliding to 27°C at night, the JMD added.
The JMD forecast a slight rise in temperatures over the next
two days, warming up to their annual average as relatively hot weather
conditions prevail across the Kingdom, according to the Jordan News Agency,
Petra.
