AMMAN — On Thursday and Friday, the Kingdom will be affected by a heat wave, pushing temperatures 3-4 degrees above annual average.
In a daily brief, the Jordan Meteorological Department (
JMD)
said that winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk at times, warning the
public of direct exposure to sunlight.

The highs in Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom
today will range between 31°C and 35°C, dropping at night to 22°C in the southern highlands, the JMD added. The weather will be hotter
in the port city of Aqaba with highs jumping to 42°C and lows sliding to
27°C.
