AMMAN — Jordanian Hotels Association spokesperson Mohammed Al-Qasim on Friday predicted an increase in tourists and tourism revenues across the Kingdom, Al-Mamlaka TV reported. This increase, he said, necessitates the presence of skilled Jordanians to work in tourism establishments across the Kingdom, especially hotels, seeing as they employ the largest amount of people in the tourism sector. Tourism is being revived in the Kingdom, said Qasim, stating that 2022 figures were very promising. In terms of revenue, in 2022, it amounted to about $5.8 billion. As for visitors and tourists coming to the Kingdom, the number exceeded 5 million. Happy International Tolerance Day! Let's come together to celebrate this day by spreading peace & happiness throughout the world We'd also like to mention #AsSalt, which has already been declared by UNESCO as a world heritage site for the place of tolerance and urban hospitality pic.twitter.com/AF8SB4K1yk — Jordan Tourism Board (@VisitJordan) November 16, 2022 Cultural and recreational events, among others, can help promote tourism momentum and prolong the stay of tourists from abroad, added Qasim.
