House approves Senate amendments to anti-corruption law

AMMAN — In its session on Monday, the House of Representatives approved the amendments submitted by the Senate to the integrity and anti-corruption law, Al-Rai News reported. The Senate declined to give the commission the power to decide on the detention of suspects, seizing their movable assets, or imposing travel bans without prior judicial authorization. However, the Senate left the original text, which obligates the commission to request an urgent decision regarding this matter from a specialized judicial body unchanged.
