AMMAN — The
Lower House is holding an urgent session today at 3pm to decide on the fate of
MP Osama Ajarmeh, following a video that surfaced on Saturday showing the MP
making remarks that were considered to be "insulting," according to a
spokesperson from the Lower House.
Local Media has
reported that Ajarmeh is expected to be expelled rather than resign.
An MP who preferred to
remain anonymous told Jordan News that a memo was drafted yesterday by a number
MPs and signed calling for the expulsion of Osama Ajarmeh which is why the
House called for an urgent session today.
Communications focal
