It said the service is in addition to obtaining a certificate of an approved tourism destination to receive children with disability and autism.

“Hyatt Regency Aqaba Ayla Resort has obtained this certificate through its active work with the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards, which is considered one of the leading centers in professional training and accreditation programs, the basis of which the centers are classified as an accredited center for autism,” the statement said.

“Colleagues at Hyatt Regency Resort completed the training and relied on best practices aimed at helping people with autism,” it added.

Being the first and only resort in the world, outside of the US, to attain this certificate, it “verifies the readiness of the resort’s employees to serve and attract all guests, including those with autism spectrum or those suffering from any sensory disorders, as well as providing a distinctive experience for guests and confirming the ability of employees to deal with all circumstances and situations that may face them,” according to the statement.

General Manager of Hyatt Regency Aqaba Ayla Resort Jean-François Durand said:  “We at Hyatt Regency Resort Aqaba are very keen on empowering our employees, and providing them with the opportunity to learn, accept and celebrate the differences among people.”

“We aim to provide the utmost care for our guests based on our firm belief in the need to accept diversity, adhere to inclusiveness and raise awareness,” he said. “If you know of someone with autism, or one of your children and those around you, we understand this and assure you that you are in the most appropriate and optimal place.”
