The initiative is part of the Strengthening Eye Care for School-Aged Children in Schools and Community Settings project, funded by the Fred Hollows Foundation.

The agreement, signed by IFH Director Ibrahim Aqel and Thaka Executive Director Moataz Azar, will start with the IFH center in Irbid and later expand to other centers in Amman and across the governorates.

It includes comprehensive training for center employees in policies and procedures, prevention of child abuse, management of selection and employment, and skills for working with children. Additionally, employees will undergo capacity-building programs and help formulate child protection policies and procedures.

IFH is renowned for its distinguished accreditation, women-friendly center certification, and national recognition for providing services like reproductive and sexual health for youth, domestic violence support, comprehensive family healthcare and specialist training in family health and child protection.

The IFH also excels in services for persons with disabilities, offering a model of health services aligned with the World Health Organization's three health tracks. It provides care for victims of torture and rehabilitation for survivors of violence.

Founded in 2007, Thaka specializes in non-academic educational programs designed to prepare the emerging generation for real-life challenges.
