In the letter, the IWF welcomed South Africa’s meticulous efforts in drawing attention to Israel’s actions in the Gaza Strip for several months, stating, “This stands as a testament to South Africa’s steadfast commitment to justice, human rights, and international law.”

IWF commended the 84-page filing by South Africa, addressing Israel's alleged violations of its obligations under the Genocide Convention regarding Palestinians in the strip. The forum pointed out that it affirms South Africa’s urgency and necessity of addressing Israel’s violations of international law.

“South Africa's steadfast condemnation of Israel's attacks on Gaza and the West Bank, alongside recalling the South African ambassador from Israel and advocating for international intervention, reflects an unwavering stance for justice and liberation from any form of occupation and apartheid,” IWF mentioned.
