According to the document specifying critical infrastructure sectors, the following sectors in Jordan are considered critical infrastructure sectors: (Government services sector, Industry and trade sector, Financial and banking sector, Telecommunications and information technology sector, Energy sector, Health sector, Agriculture, water, and environment sector, Transport sector, Education sector, Defense and security sector), according to the Kingdom.

Critical infrastructure is defined by the law as a set of systems, electronic networks, physical and non-physical assets, or cyber assets and systems whose continuous operation is essential to ensure the security of the state, its economy, and the safety of society.

According to the document, there are three criteria that, if met by a sector, it is considered a critical infrastructure sector: (State security, economy, and societal safety). In addition to these criteria, a number of additional standards have been adopted, which collectively form the basis for identifying critical infrastructure sectors. These standards include: (Ensuring business continuity, the reputation of the Kingdom, the number of beneficiaries from the sector's sustainability, and the exclusivity of services provided by the sector).

It is worth mentioning that the National Cybersecurity Center is a government institution aimed at building and developing an effective national cybersecurity system to protect Jordan from cyber threats and confront them efficiently and effectively, ensuring the sustainability of operations and maintaining national security, as well as the safety of individuals, property, and information.
